I am currently pursuing a PhD in Molecular Plant Science with a focus in Post-harvest physiology, basically I will be a glorified produce manager... Seeing many false perceptions about produce in society, lack of understanding, or just simply a lack of knowledge, I decided that I would like to do my best to help those that are completely lost, unsure, and just wanting to know more. My wife and my goal is to help people better understand how to pick healthy produce, how to store it in your home, and how to cook with it. While I will soon be considered an "expert" in my field, no expert knows everything. I will do my best to dig through the scientific literature and translate it so everyone may understand. I will try and put up the citations when possible for you extra curious bugs, and if you do find a mistake, or have a comment, please kindly comment on the blog and I will look further into it (any submitted references will be appreciated!).
